Agronomic Cropping Systems and Nutrient Management (UNDER CONSTRUCTION)
My name is Nicholas Clark, and I'm the Agronomy and Nutrient Management Advisor for Kings, Tulare, and Fresno Counties. I've been serving this region since October, 2015. My priorities for 2016/17 are to:
- Continue to meet growers, consultants, PCA's, CCA's, government agents, and community officials in this region.
- To learn, understand, and respond to the changing agronomy and nutrient management needs of these groups.
- To facilitate and communicate results of relevant, scientific research for the above groups as well as the public at large.
The purpose of the Agronomy and Nutrient Management program is to provide up-to-date information regarding production and best management practices of corn, alfalfa, dry beans, oilseeds, and bio-fuel crops. Information on how to best recycle nutrients, especially nitrogen from dairy manure, in cropping systems for maximum economic benefit for growers and for good environmental stewardship is a high priority of this program.
You may always contact me directly with questions, comments, or concerns regarding agronomy or nutrient management.
