My name is Jorge Angeles, and I am the new Weed Management and Ecology Advisor for Tulare, Kings and Fresno counties.  One of my main duties will be to cover weed management in all agricultural crops and non-crop settings in these counties. 

I am excited to start this new advisor position and be able to contribute to solving some of the weed management problems in the southern San Joaquin Valley.  My two predecessors did a lot of great weed management work in a variety of crops, and I am hoping to continue to do some of the same work.  My focus will be to address some of the weed management problems in agronomic crops and orchard crops.  Some weed management issues include, developing integrated weed management practices for some of the herbicide resistant and invasive weeds in different crops.  I also plan to develop weed management methods for crops that do not have many registered herbicides.
